Yin and Yang Nutrition is the foundation of balance within the body, mind, soul and spirit. The body composition depends on the excess or deficiency of yin and yang. This is the building block of health. To ensure good health one must balance the Qi.
Qi
If these two opposing forces become unbalanced then it leads to a blockage in the flow of Qi (pronounced chee), or vital energy. When an individual's Qi is unable to flow freely throughout the body, the body's energy meridians become obstructed. Eating according to your body constitutions allows healing within to create an equilibrium between the two forces.
Yin and yang
In CHM the body is viewed as a balance of two opposing forces, Yin and Yang. Yin represents the cold, slow or passive aspects of a person while yang represents hot, excited or active aspects. A dietary food list is given depending on the tongue and pulse and history taken. Advice and suggestions are given to support the internal organs.
